Fun facts about me that you definitely care about!!

  • I've moved cross-country five times (so that translates to me being adaptable!)
  • I took my severance from a job and spent it entirely on a 3-week, 4-country solo trip and traveled to Iceland, the Netherlands, Morocco, and Portugal (so that translates to me being a really good planner!)
  • I once got lost on a solo hike with a dead phone, followed highway noise, and hitchhiked to my car in the trunk of a sweet couple’s Subaru because their backseat was full (so that translates to me staying calm under pressure and always figuring it out!)
  • I'm a cat mom to the cutest orange tabby (the rumors are true - all orange cats do share a brain cell)
  • I'm a Virgo (my astrological girlies know what's up)

I've been obsessed with taking pictures for as long as I can remember,

starting way back with a little digital camera (mostly taking selfies) before ever setting foot in a photography class and actually learning real photography. While my gear changed, my instinct never did. I’ve always had an eye for the little things; the split-second glances, quiet habits, and in-between moments that usually go unnoticed.

A big part of how I photograph comes from my love of travel.

I've found that exploring new places teaches you to look past the obvious touristy landmarks and notice the actual rhythm of a place. That same curiosity goes into every story I photograph, whether it's across the globe or with you.

I'm a big advocate for being truly present in the moment.

Whether in my personal life or through the experiences I share with you, I’ve done the research and built custom tools to ensure your wedding day or portrait session never feels like a rushed photo op. As your Wedding Photographer, for example, I created a tool to help my clients visualize how much time is needed for each event they're wanting to capture. Most couples don't realize just how fast the day flies by, or how easily a carefully curated timeline can shift. We can do all the planning in the world - weddings still go off-script! To most, my job is showing up and taking photos. To me, it's making sure timeline hiccups never steal your joy on your special day. Oh, and yeah... showing up to take pictures ;-)

Things I'd take with me on a deserted island?

  • Coke Zero
  • A flat-back hair clip
  • My Garmin - every step counts!!
  • My Nodpod sleep mask - an actual game changer
  • Business cards just in case it's not actually deserted
